Revamp of a Self-care Portal for end-users by improving the user experience and updating the User Interface.

This was my first project in Celfocus. I joined the UX team during ideation phase, along with two other designers. I assisted the card sorting sessions with the client and subsequent creation of the Information Architecture.

Information Architecture
After establishing the baseline we moved to wireframe prototyping. I designed some processes and lead the corresponding workshops with the client to validate the solution.
It was three intense weeks of on-site workshops and rework until all prototyping was completed, validated, and ready for testing and for the UI design.

UI
I was not directly involved in the UI, but I created the icons. The official iconography was missing many assets and was not adjusted to the new look and feel, so we decided to recreate it from scratch. I created and prepared all the icons in .svg for delivery.

Case study
The original platform ran in Siebel. There were many problems related with customer support and the entire CX was outdated. Safaricom’s goal was to automate processes to a maximum to allow users to be more autonomous in solving small issues without resorting to call centers, and in the end, get an amazing new design that matched their site’s design. The Self-care Portal was launched during 2019, and well received.
